puzzle to solve...

Here is a general idea of the puzzle pieces that create my character.  I also see the puzzle being a symbol for this book, trying to put the pieces together of "who done it?"
I love this idea of using visual images to think deeper about these characters.  If I were to use this project in my classroom, I would LOVE to have students create these puzzles on tagboard and have each other put the puzzles together and guess each character.  It would also be neat to have each student create a picture hidden in the background of the words on the puzzle.  Endless possibilities!  Just think of all of the interactive ideas students could have with this project??!?!?!

  1. Hi Mindy, well I'm pretty sure this is Petrocelli. What I find interesting about the words/phrases you've chosen is that a lot of them could be applied to Steve. Those two characters are about as far apart as can be, and yet when I look at this array of words I see an odd similarity!

  2. I'm going with Petrocelli as well, the plain black high-heels gave it away for me. What a creative way, using a puzzle to describe a character. I'll have to think of a way to use this in my classroom, my students LOVE puzzles.
